Muxtape has fairly inevitably gone offline after upsetting the RIAA. Whilst they’re still chatting things over, OpenTape have come up with a beautiful response, distribute an equivalent software that Muxtape used but enable users to host the tunes themselves. Genii. If you’ve got some hosting space, it takes about a minute to ‘install’.

Listen.

Muse At The Royal Albert Hall From The Choir

The Roger Daltrey inspired Teenage Cancer Trust had Muse playing at the Alber t Hall this Saturay just gone. I missed out on buying tickets in time then saw that they’d released some more as competition prizes. Entered the comp and bob’s your rather fortuitous uncle, a week later received an email saying I was one of the lucky winners. The 4-leafed clovers are on me.

Muse: Giving it large

It was the first proper large night out for Kate since finding out she was up the duff last January. That’s 14+ months without going loopy, which is enough to send you loopy really. Cousin Don and Helene, who now live close enough that we could actually catapult Frankie to them, very kindly babysat for the whole night whilst we went out and made merry.

We were pretty much on stage, and Matt Bellamy also treated us to a rendition on the organ there which was very cool. I think this is the third time I’ve seen them and due to the great venue was probably the best. If you get the chance to see them live, do so. They are awesome.
