‘Status Updates’ Twitter Tools Trial Over
I’m stopping these little ‘Status Updates’ that have been appearing here. They get auto-posted as a daily digest of any Twitter updates that I send in through a great WordPress plugin by Alex King called Twitter Tools. It’s rather swish, but it’s just not for me.
I’ve been getting into reading a lot of blogs recently. I realized that I find it mildly irritating when given just a one line posting. Taylor McKnight has taken to doing this since I picked up his blog again. Yep, there’s lots of groovy links in there and I’ll stay subscribed but there’s something I find a tad irritating about being given just little snippets. Its seems that if you’ve taken the effort to actually pull up someone’s blog then they should at least give you something fairly meaty or worthwhile to get your teeth into. Not “here’s a nice link” or “I went to work”-type-blogging all the time.
I also realized that the only thing that actually interests me in facebook now is people’s status updates. I also realized whilst trying to speed up the download speeds of this blog, that there was too much unecessary clutter and a blog was for its own sake, so keep it simple. For blog’s sake.
Crikey Jim you really are interesting.
Incidentally, here’s a nice link: twittervision.com . It’s mesmerising, if you have the time to be mesmerised.
