Financial geek entry alert: Depending on your point of view, I think I’ve never been great with money. Quite good at blowing it, not so good at being sensible with it, but then isn’t it for spending anyway? I guess it’s only since I became a property owner that I now take note of the banks’ interest rate changes. Yes, I know, good here innit.

Had a looksee to try and find a historical graph of how the rate had changed over the years and couldn’t find one. I eventually found this stats db though on the Bank of England’s site. Thought someone out there might be searching for the same thing one day.

But no blimmin’ wonder my Ma and Pat upped sticks over to NZ at the beginning of the nineties.
