Freeflying

I’m loving my new sport. Every time I jump out of an aeroplane, life just doesn’t get any better than that. It is the best thing I ever got round to doing. I’m so glad I did. It took me 12 years from my static line jump (in NZ as the perfect 18th birthday pressie from my Ma) to being able to do it at my leisure (but still the weather will persist in playing silly buggers).

It is awesome. I don’t normally use the word awesome, because it’s so so overused, especially out here on t’internet.

I’m only at a mere 25 jumps, but think I’ve seen that my discipline is to be freeflying, in layman’s terms that is moving about in the air – head down, back flying, sitting, tracking, flipping etc..

I wish I could jump every day. Newbies like me need to get used to the fact that it is quite a closed sport – I’m still after a jump-buddy, and therefore have noone to hit off, I’ve jumped in few places in the UK now and have decided for the time being that the best place for me is Weston-on-the-Green, easiest access to London, friendliest staff and cheapest.

It is one of the best things I’ve ever done and you really must do the same. Not wanting to step ahead of myself, but isn’t life pretty boring without that element of risk?
